Parker & Son is very proud to work with the National Trust carrying out conversation work on a number of their historical buildings across the south east.
Our work has included Bodiam Castle near Robertsbridge, Bateman’s at Burwash, Sheffield Park Gardens near East Grinstead and Chartwells. This has included installing new ticket offices and shops along with refurbishment work. Most of the properties we have worked on have either been listed or of great archaeological interest. We are a trusted contractor and certified under the Construction Line scheme to meet the National Trust’s standards of assurance.
Bateman’s Mill Pond, Burwash
We are proud to have worked on a number of National Trust properties throughout the South East including Bodiam Castle, Sheffield Park Gardens, Bateman's Mill and Chartwell.
At Bateman's in Burwash the work involved reinstating and reinforcing the retaining walls at the Mill Pond.
The project included the excavation of all ten sections of the pond and the installation of a viewing platform.
The restored Mill Pond that will now be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.
